WT3.2 – The 9th International Conference on Computer Recognition Systems CORES 2015

Task Leader: Robert Burduk, robert.burduk@pwr.wroc.pl
ENGINE research areas: A1, A3, A4, A5, A6, A8, B1-B6
Duration: 3 day
Estimated no. of participants: 80

The CORES Conference aims to bring together researches and to provide an international forum for sharing, exchange, presentation and discussion of the original research results in both methodological issues and different application areas of pattern recognition. CORES will be organised for the ninth time, marking it as an important scientific event in the area of machine learning. For each of the three days of the conference a prominent expert in the fields is invited to open the panel with a longer talk. These talks serve as a starting point for a lively discussion about the current trends in the pattern recognition area. Traditionally several awards for the best papers will be handed over to the participants, to highlight the best contributions. CORES serves both as a scientific and social event, where every evening our participants can make new research connections during boat cruise or gala dinner. Several special sessions are planned to gather the state-of-the-art papers in the cutting-edge pattern recognition topics.

At the beginning and at the end of the conference there will be conducted a presentation of the ENGINE Centre, WrUT and Wrocław City where the conference will be held. This will allow to promote the ENGINE Centre among international scientific staff.

For people who will have their papers accepted for the presentation, the ENGINE Centre staff, keynote and invited talk speakers the conference will be free of charge. For the rest there will be registration fee to cover all costs (around 500 EUR)
