Twining visits aim at reinforcing the ENGINE Centre potential in the following research areas:

  • Statistical data mining
  • Classification of structures, structural prediction, classification for networks
  • Multiple classifier systems and concept drift; analysis of data in uncertainty environments
  • Machine learning for distributed environments
  • Classification in biology and chemistry
  • Natural language processing, machine learning for textual data
  • Application of evolutionary computation and optimization techniques
  • Application of intelligent systems in industry
  • Intelligent user interfaces and human–computer interaction
  • Experiences and procedures in collaboration between research centres and industry in Germany; it also includes SMEs

Incoming visits of the experienced researchers from other countries:

    1 Long-term visits (duration from 2 weeks to 6 months)
Outgoing visits of the ENGINE staff members to partnering organization:
